Prison PTSD is very real and there are few resources to aid the prison population in and outside of the system. Give A Beat helps reduce this harmful effect of incarceration by providing classes in music production, DJ-ing, and connecting both juvenile youths and adults to music professionals. They are building solidarity among empathetic artists, volunteers, and businesses to create opportunities for social change. With the power of music and your donation we can help battle systematic racism put in place by the prison systems.

Inspired by a paddle out for George Floyd, two surfers were motivated to fight systemic racism in a positive, constructive way. Their mission became to break down the walls and barriers that have previously kept BIPOC from becoming a part of ocean and surf culture. Creating equal access to the ocean and beach with free surf lessons for people of color has become a way to fight inequity and create a larger sense of inclusion in the surf community. Access to the beautiful benefits and purity of the ocean is for everyone and should not be determined by background or status.

When a family loses someone to the prison system, the meaning of life can change. These families suffer a loss that actually encourages them to advocate for necessary reforms, but they need financial and emotional support. Donating helps them overcome the obstacles they face in fighting for their rights in the name of their beloved ones.

Housing is a human right. CCH is a leading non-profit in Illinois that is advocating for affordable housing, job opportunities, and public services for people who are at-risk or homeless. Working to change public policy and increase available resources to those affected by homelessness has been a core goal of this organization. They are committed to creating change in the lives of the children, students and families that make up the communities that they serve.

IEN is in the business of educating and empowering Indigenous Peoples with the proper tools to combat the dangers brought on by climate change. Through their educational programs, youths and adults learn how to survive in the climate crisis without sacrificing their way of life. By respecting the natural laws of Mother Nature and the Circle of Life IEN has provided Indigenous People with the knowledge of sustainability and your dollar helps keep the movement going.
